MEC4000 is a compact, rugged mobile edge computer for rail and automotive environments. It combines LTE connectivity, GPS tracking, an integrated managed Ethernet switch, and AI acceleration (Neural Processing Unit) in a fanless industrial housing, with optional 5G/WiFi 6 support, power/communication redundancy, and PCIe/USB expandability.

Unlike the RAR4000, MEC4000 supports applications running in software containers, enabling edge intelligence, predictive maintenance, and video analytics directly in the vehicle or on the track. Secure remote access via VPN is optionally available, with VPN tunneling, multi-factor authentication and robust remote-access management for reliable, worldwide management of software containers, network configurations and diagnostic data.
